What Data We Collect
Server logs
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the pages you access. This data is used solely for the technical operation and security of the website.
Page view statistics
We record which pages are visited along with a one-way hashed (SHA-256) representation of your IP address. The hash cannot be reversed to identify you. No cookies are used and no cross-site tracking takes place. This data is used exclusively for our own internal statistics.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. This information is delivered to us by email and is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not store form submissions in a database or share them with third parties.
No third-party tracking
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics services, or any third-party tracking tools. Fonts are self-hosted; no external requests are made to Google, social networks, or advertising platforms.
Legal Basis (GDPR)
Server logs and internal page view statistics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in maintaining a secure and functional website. Contact form data is processed on the same basis in order to respond to your enquiry. None of this data is used to profile or identify individual users beyond what is strictly necessary.
Data Retention
Server logs are retained for a limited period as required for security and operational purposes, after which they are deleted automatically. Page view statistics are stored indefinitely in aggregated, anonymised form. Contact form data (received by email) is retained only as long as necessary to handle your enquiry.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected (rectification)
- Request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability where technically feasible
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at unitylensphotography@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Supervisory Authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.
